Best Wireless Earbuds (2026): AirPods Pro 3, Soundcore P31i, TOZO NC9 and More
Short answer: AirPods Pro 3 are the best earbuds if you're on iPhone and want top noise cancelling; the Soundcore P31i gets you most of the way for far less, and the P30i is the pick on a tight budget.
Quick picks
Here’s a thing the star ratings won’t tell you: nearly every pair in Amazon’s top 20 earbuds sits between 4.2 and 4.5 stars. Apple’s flagship scores about the same as a no-name ear-hook set. So we ignored the stars, compared what owners actually complain about, and checked the big claims against lab tests from TechGearLab and a hands-on review at Scarbir.
Quick picks
| Earbuds | Noise cancelling | Battery per charge (listed) | Owner fit: % positive |
|---|---|---|---|
| AirPods Pro 3 | Yes, ~31 dB measured | 8 h with ANC | 64% |
| Soundcore P31i | Yes, adaptive | 8 h with ANC | 62% |
| Soundcore P30i | Yes | 6 h with ANC | 71% |
| TOZO NC9 | Yes | 10 h with ANC | 68% |
| bmani T16 ear-hook | No | 8 h | 86% |
| Skullcandy Jib (wired) | No | n/a | 69% |
How we chose
We read owner topic counts on 20 earbud listings and gave each pick one job. Then we looked for outside testing. Fit came out as the great equalizer. Even the AirPods Pro 3, the best performers in TechGearLab’s lab, collect a third of their fit comments as complaints.
The picks in detail
AirPods Pro 3 are the best earbuds here, full stop, if you own an iPhone. TechGearLab scored them 85 overall, the top mark in its test, with about 31 dB of measured noise reduction and a 9.6 for calls. Owners agree on the noise cancelling (87% positive). The weak spot is battery: only 55% of 570 battery mentions are positive.
Anker’s P31i is what we’d buy on Android. You get adaptive ANC, LDAC for higher-quality Bluetooth on supported phones, and 50 hours total with the case. One hands-on reviewer at All Round Review found the fit more secure than the previous model but called the case bulky. Owners love the value. But 34% of reliability mentions describe units that quit early, so keep the box.
The P30i is the cheapest ANC pair worth buying. Scarbir’s reviewer bought a pair and measured about 7 hours with ANC on, slightly better than Anker’s own figure of 6. They found the ANC fine for steady hums and weaker on voices. Multipoint works, and the case doubles as a phone stand, which is handy on a plane tray.
TOZO NC9 wins on stamina. Ten hours on a single charge, ANC running, is a lot at this level. Skip it if you like your music loud, though: volume is its most negative topic.
bmani T16 is for runners and lifters whose buds keep falling out. The hooks fix that. Physical buttons also beat touch panels with sweaty fingers.
Skullcandy Jib is the drawer spare. TechGearLab rated its sound above other cheap wired pairs but noted cable rub noise when you move.
Buying advice
Read the noise-control line carefully. Plenty of cheap listings say “noise cancelling” when they mean a call microphone filter. The TAGRY X08, with almost 90,000 ratings, shows the result: 46% of its 2,318 noise-cancelling mentions are negative. If blocking a bus engine matters, buy real ANC.
Want the cheapest decent pair without ANC? Our budget earbuds guide covers the P20i, TOZO A1 and JLab Go Air Pop+.
The picks, in detail

AirPods Pro 3
TechGearLab measured about 31 dB of noise blocking and scored its call quality 9.6 out of 10, the best in its test. 87% of owner noise-cancelling mentions are positive.

Soundcore P31i
Adaptive ANC, LDAC and 8 hours per charge with ANC on. 91% of 720 value mentions are positive.

Soundcore P30i
Noise cancelling, multipoint and a case that props up your phone. A hands-on reviewer got about 7 hours per charge with ANC on.

TOZO NC9
Listed at 10 hours per charge and 40 hours total with ANC running. The catch: 58% of 895 volume mentions say they don't get loud enough.
bmani T16 ear-hook
Ear hooks that stay put: 86% of 3,609 fit mentions are positive. Charging problems show up in 45% of charging comments.

FAQ
Are AirPods Pro 3 worth it over cheaper noise cancelling earbuds?
If you use an iPhone and ride trains or fly often, yes. Their noise cancelling and call quality are a clear step above budget ANC buds. On Android you lose many of the Apple features, so the Soundcore P31i makes more sense.
What's the difference between ENC and ANC?
ENC (environmental noise cancellation) cleans up your voice for the person on the other end of a call. ANC cancels the noise you hear. Many cheap listings mention ENC prominently, and owners who expect ANC end up disappointed.
Why do my earbuds keep falling out?
Usually the tip size. Most earbuds ship with medium tips installed. Try the smaller and larger sizes in the box before giving up, or switch to an ear-hook design for workouts.
Do wireless earbuds work with both iPhone and Android?
All of these pair over standard Bluetooth with either. Brand extras like Apple's automatic device switching or Google Fast Pair only work on their own platforms.

How we put this together
We compared manufacturer specs and Amazon listing details, read the patterns in Amazon owner reviews (we refresh this snapshot regularly), and scored each product with our published rubric. We have not tested these units hands-on. When we do, the page will say so. Prices change constantly, so we link to the live price instead of quoting one.
